2015 TSEI Fall Conference Review

The Law Offices of Foley & Lardner LLP
Washington, DC
October 7 - 9, 2015

Thank you to all of you who were able to attend our recent fall meeting at the Law Offices of Foley & Lardner in Washington, DC. We had an excellent turnout and the contributions by the group at large are appreciated. Your participation in the committee and general meetings as well as the social events made this meeting a success.

For those members that were unable to attend, here are a few highlights for review. This year’s event began with an informal roundtable discussion with Mike Cole, Lead Safety Compliance Engineer - Lighting Enforcement Team with NHTSA’s Office of Vehicle Safety Compliance.  Mike gave a quick update on what items he has been working on and briefly reviewed the Performance Based 108. An open discussion on non-compliant products and ways TSEI could be of assistance the port authorities with evaluating product for non-compliance onsite. Such items of interest were Warning Triangles and HID Conversion kits.  After lunch, attendees heard updates from the TSEI Vehicle Conspicuity Committee and the TSEI Strategic Planning Task Force.  The group welcomed TTMA representative John Freiler as a TSEI guest.
